update and a wounded bird

New layout, finally. I had this one planned for … maybe a month. Or longer. I don’t really remember. See if you can find what I’ve hidden in the image. *grin*

Umm, update on this list I made, I am done with Spring classes! No summer classes this year, I wanted to see if I could get a job. (So far, no luck. Then again, I’ve only really looked at PetSmart. I was hoping for an easy, out of the way job like filing clerk, but I dunno where to look. So, on to retail.)

I got an apartment! Yay! And I met my brother’s friend whom I’ll be spending the next year with, yay! *snrk* I’ve met him before, though. I don’t really know him, but I think I know him enough to know he won’t be annoying, haha. I found out today another of my brother’s friends is going to Cal Poly, too. My mom wants to know where he’s staying. >b

I haven’t bought my new domain name yet. I was going to, but then I bought a couple presents from Amazon, so that charge is waiting to be paid on my credit card. (I don’t really like to use my credit card too much, maybe no more than once a month.) I was thinking of switching from inangeling.net to angeling.net, just so maybe people will know what I’m saying when I orally tell them the url. But then, I like INangeling.net. Just because it’s not so obviously an angel name, and it also ties in with the Inconsistent Angel Things still. muahaha.

When I showed this layout to Mum today asking her opinion of it, she thought my website was called Flimsy Science. *blink* Just like some other person who will remain unnamed. Does my domain name really look like that?! Well I guess it’s awkward seeing flimsy and silence together like that. The mind just doesn’t read it like that. Oh well.

I meant to update (over, since it’s Thursday Friday) a week ago, but I didn’t. I was cleaning my room (it was a mess!) and stuffing things in my closet and helping Mum clean the house for a family party this weekend. The result of that is I forgot what else I wanted to update on. ahaha.

Oh! Yesterday around 5 pm I heard this screeching that I thought was coming from outside, but it wasn’t. Shadow brought a bird inside. >_> Mum and I caught it, and it turned out to be just a baby, that couldn’t really fly. (Otherwise we wouldn’t have caught it, hunh?)

Mum found a wound on it where skin was missing, and it was all bloody, so we decided to take it in to the vet. Alll the way in Santa Monica. Yes. During rush hour. Look at us and call us silly. But it wasn’t that bad. We avoided the freeways and took weird side streets. The vet said he didn’t know birds, so he couldn’t do anything, but the receptionist gave us the number of the California Wildlife Center where they might take the bird, so we went back home.

Today we drove the bird there (it’s off of Malibu Canyon Road, woo, fun!) and dropped it off with a $50 donation. I don’t think it survived. >_> It wasn’t very active or peppy when we left it (did MY driving do that? o.o), and Mum said it didn’t sound like they were going to sew it up or anything. Boo.

The ending of that story is: Shadow gets his bell put back around his neck! So now we know when he’s in the house. And outside, scratching himself … even in the middle of the night.

boredom, nothing, blah, hanging around

Gah, now I’m bored, hahaha. Daddy did something with the network but I don’t think my laptop connects still because he didn’t say anything to me about it. Bah.

Yesterday … I don’t remember what I did. Hung around, whatever. Didn’t get a chance to go on the comp. Put Christmas decorations away. Went to bed at 9. hah! I didn’t know of anything else to do. Actually, I’m kinda bleary eyed at the moment. Maybe I should go to bed now. I was thinking at 8:30 it’d be nice to get to bed at 9. Meh. Maybe I will. I’ll try not to think of anything to do on this comp. >.>

Oh. I finished Cages yesterday. It was … interesting. I kinda wish he’d gone on more about the cat … but then I guess I’m more fantasy that way? (I don’t like the word fantasy because I always think in other people’s minds it conjures images of dragons and elves and what have you. I’m not into that. But … I am kind of into fantasy/sci fi where it’s just … I dunno … I don’t know how to explain it.)

Did I say I finished The Haunting of Hill House? I did. It left me confused. She didn’t explain why all that was happening, who was the ghost behind it all. ;.; I just don’t get it! That’s all I can say! Well, it was good other than that. It was creepy. *grin* I liked the mood, atmosphere, characters … I just didn’t understand why it all happened. Which is annoying. But oh well.

Today … got up at about 8. Woke up really when C left for school at 7. I just turned on the radio and closed my eyes though, hehehe. Oh yeah, my dream … dang, I don’t remember. *sad* Oh wait, it was today I finished Cages. While eating pretzel sticks and drinking Dr. Pepper for breakfast. ahaha. Eh, whatever.

After that … hung around in the living room while everyone ate breakfast, then went on Corey’s comp, saw the part in the first ep of I Love Lucy and yeah, Ricky really did drink the one with the mickey! *shock*, N left, came back for his name tag/id, left. Mum took me to Cash ‘n Carry to buy envelopes, and I bought a blue pen. Sent Adam’s present off and CDs to No More AOL CDs.

Found out today they’re in California. o.o They went to Sacramento to demonstrate for a bill. Poured out 30,000 CDs. XD They’ve collected 350,000 CDs so far! Yay! Came back home, hung around.

Took two of the kimono off those display dolls. The lady kimono isn’t a complete kimono, it’s just pieced together with nails to look complete. *sad* (The obi covers the middle, where there isn’t any kimono, if that makes any sense.) But the girl kimono is complete and soooo pretty! Much prettier than the lady. And it fits my American Girl doll! XD “How old are you again?” haha. I kinda felt like sewing something for her … I don’t know what though. Ooh, I should have drawn out the ideas for clothes I had recently … grrrrr.

Put my school yearbooks in a box above the closet. Uh, except for my high school one. It won’t fit. I guess I should try to put it somewhere … This way I have more space on my shelf, and the stuff I have on the smaller shelf on its side can go up there. That way I have more room for my DVDs! Hehe. I really should put my VHSes somewhere NOT on my shelf … *shrug*

I guess I’m done. Boring. ho-hum. I’m thirsty. But there’s no more soda. *weep* I also want ice cream, but I’m gonna be going to bed soon … hopefully … *shifty eyes*

Oh, duh, we (Daddy, C and I) went to Westside Pavilion again so C could buy a new Element hat and that Zelda game. I looked at … Pacsun (didn’t see that much … I’m not really into the dirty jean look) … EB Games (buy one get one half off sale on pre-played games, didn’t see anything, didn’t really want to spend more money) … Hot Topic, but meh I hate being in there because I keep thinking the people in that store dun like me ’cause I’m not “real” whatever stereotype they’re trying to fit in. hah!

Besides, it’s all soooo expensive. x.x They were having a $10 off all skirts/pants, but I didn’t feel like paying $22+tax for a skirt I wouldn’t wear that often. (Although it was a nice skirt … But now that I went to the site to look at it again … I could make most of the skirts there. *sweatdrop* Even if it doesn’t look as good … heck, it’d only cost me what, $15? Two yards of two different black fabrics … couldn’t cost me that much, eh?)

NOW I’m going to bed. Or at least I’m getting off after I play this one game of solitaire. gehehe

vacation, all I ever wanted

I had to turn off the commenting for non-registered peoples ’cause that casino spam bot thing found this site and has been posting ads all over my entries … grrrs. Sorry.

Hm … technically the end of my first week of vacation … hehe. What have I done … lots of computer stuff of course, cleaned my room closet and desk (yay, more space!), went to the dentist (he was an extra in Memoirs of a Geisha!), bought a Blender magazine with Gwen Stefani on the cover … I guess that’s pretty much it.

I haven’t seen Closer yet. :( I thought we were going Thursday but then when I said, “So we’re going to Century City after my dentist’s appointment?” Mommy had no idea what I was talking about. She would have been willing to go except M88 said he had to go to Mitsuwa to buy sushi for a party he had in one class or another on Friday. So … meh. We’re gonna go Monday.

My new CD player for my car finally came in! XD We’re gonna go get it Monday. I just hope they can give me my CD back. *nervous*

I got $93.25 for my books. Well, for my math and chem books. I forgot to bring my logic book with me. x.x It was sitting in my notebook at home, ’cause I’d been taking notes from it. Meh. Oh well. I spent almost $112 on Christmas this year. $30 more than last year. And I even bought one less present. o.o You people are all expensive! Expensive, I say! haha (Well right off the bat I spent $15 more on Adam’s present this year than last year … but I also didn’t get him a birthday present either, so nyeh.)

I set up this fake account in Quicken so I could figure out what kind of stuff I buy … I’m not really done yet, I have to figure in my checking account … and I know I’m missing many receipts … but in the past 4 years and a half (because yes I am a freak and saved most all my receipts in that time), I’ve spent the most on … well that would be education (over $1000), but ignoring that one … the most I’ve spent on is … anime and anime merchandise!!! Is that such a big surprise? :b Over six hundred freaking dollars! But keep in mind that DVDs and artbooks cost mucho bucks. Also, I probably bought a lot of music online that I don’t have a recording for, so it wasn’t counted in … I spent about $300 each on CDs, manga, and books. I don’t remember the number for comics, but it’s probably lower than it should be as well, since I don’t have recordings for about half the Sandman comics I bought (five of them, each being about $20). I think I spent $100 on clothes, but that is veeery skewed since Mum and Daddy pay for my clothes. hehe. ^^

Anyway … that was probably boring to everyone else but me. Oh well. *grin*
